Gurston Down Classes and Awards

Overall Championship

Points accrued in the class championships are used in an overall rank to determine an overall club champion. Points for classes and therefore the overall championships are based on a target time for each class. If the target time is 40seconds, then if a competitor achieves 40s for their run, they score 20points. if they are 1 second slower, then they score 19points, however if they achieve 39seconds then they achieve 21 points and the target time updates to this new fastest time for the class. Fastest times set are considered for target times for 2 seasons.

Top Ten/Twelve Challenge

At the end of each day’s running the drivers with the fastest competitive time are invited to complete one more run to determine the positions in this separate championship.
