We all really enjoyed the day, even the bad weather didn’t dampen things. I would like to do it again sometime, but this time spend a little time tuning the car to suit the Hillclimb. A BTCC Shoot-out would be good. I think Matt owes me a drive in his car as well.

Thank you ever so much for a fantastic day yesterday. Our members thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the members of the public took a great deal of interest in our stand! Just a quick thanks from all the Scimitar guys for such a well run and above all friendly September 2015 event. All the paddock staff were great, to be greeted with a smile from the lady paddock marshal was lovely and the paddock assembly guys greeted me by name and gave a cheery tap on the roof to send me on my way down to the startline. It was a really enjoyable event and all those who competed have been waxing lyrical on our club website and we hope to bring a few more cars next year such was the atmosphere and the venue facilities.

I drive one of the temperamental 500’s. Can you pass my thanks to all there on Sat and Sun in April 2015 – what a great bunch they are. I don’t want to single out anyone in particular as I have met everyone up and down the hill over the years!! However, all the team at the start are fantastic because they understand how to get us to the line without overcooking our fragile engines and gearboxes. No other hill has the same understanding. Thanks again.

I had a brilliant weekend and just wanted to thank you and your team for your brilliant organisation. Saturday was a real challenge for you, but the management of a difficult situation was brilliant. We Lotus Seven Club members always feel at home when we come to Gurston – it’s always a slick and professional operation and your officials are the best in the business. The paddock marshal who shakes your hand and welcomes you as you go up for your first practice run stands out as summing up the whole spirit of Gurston. Please pass on my appreciation to your team and I look forward to seeing you all next year. I’m sure my son, Matthew, will be keen to pare some more time off his new Class 2 record (and I’ll be wanting to get closer to it!). Best wishes for the rest of the season.

Thanks for an absolutely stunning weekend. The Lotus Seven Club competitors absolutely love the venue, but it’s the great welcome and friendly efficiency of everyone in your team that makes it so special. When my daughter’s boyfriend had his off at Karousel everyone was so supportive, and that was greatly appreciated. We look forward to working with you and enjoying many future events at Gurston.

Just a short note to let you know that my son and I had a great day at Gurston on Saturday until my last run when I had an unfortunate encounter with the Armco on the exit of Ashes! Please convey my thanks to the Paramedic who checked on my physical well-being and all the marshals who assisted at my incident, swiftly arranging to convey my damaged car to the top paddock. I hope to return later in the year in an attempt to get it right!
