The Meadens Skoda Gurston Down Hill Climb Championship has been very close all season.
The September meeting was going to be the decider! Both Stephen Moore (the 2015 Champion) and Simon Purcell (the 2014 Champion) could be crowned depending on class wins and record breaking runs!
After the first timed runs, Simon had a bit of a spin at Ashes and Stephen “just” matched his previous record! So it was all going to be decided on the second timed runs!
Stephen did exactly what he needed to, breaking his own record again and winning the class! But it now depended on Simon’s run! Sadly, Simon didn’t quite make it, leaving Stephen as Champion!
