At our Tony Marsh Memorial Weekend, held every year at our double headed June meeting. Gurston Down awards the Tony Marsh Memorial Trophy.

The Trophy is awarded to any driver, registered for the Gurston Down Hill Climb Championship, who makes the best improvement in a class record. If no class records are improved, the driver who comes closest to the existing class record as it stands before the weekend will win the Trophy.

The 2017 Tony Marsh Memorial Trophy was won, for the second year in success, by Mark Crookall. Mark improved the MX5 Class record on both days. In April he set the class record at 40.98s, on Saturday it was reduced to 40.75s and on Sunday to 40.55s.

Mark is currently the leader in the Meadens Skoda Gurston Down Speed Hill Climb Championship.
