The Tony Marsh Memorial Weekend got under-way on Saturday. Friday’s weather hadn’t exactly made the weekend look like it could be record breaking! But Saturday turned out to be a great day for racing. The cars and bikes we on exceptional and record breaking form. Many drivers and riders surpassed their personal bests this weekend!

On Saturday we were honoured by a visit from Tony’s widow and Peter and Simon’s brother Paul.

Saturday’s Fastest Time of the Day for the cars went to Simon Marsh in the family DJ Firehawk with a 28.58s.

The motorbikes FTD went to Paul Jeffery with a 33.94s run.

On Sunday, the morning’s weather looked like it could be another promising days racing. The afternoon’s timed runs were mostly run with a damp and drying track.

Sunday’s Fastest Time of the Day went to Jonathan Gates in the Force LM he shares with the championship sponsor, Peter Sexton. Jonathan’s time was 29.97s.

Mark Crookall was awarded The Tony Marsh Memorial Trophy. He had the best improvement in a class record by a BARC SW member. The new class record for the Mazda MX5 Class is now 41.86, a 0.32s improvement. Well done Mark!
